Nah the 90cc in this was garbage and the starter was failing. It has way more power and speed now and never have to worry about the starter not working or keeping the battery charged, since it doesn't have either.

Out of service lol. A few of the steps to get up have started to split and rot, so started replacing all the sketchy looking ones at the end of last summer but never got around to finishing. Maybe I'll get around to it this summer. 😋

You need an impact wrench to get it on and off properly. The improper way would be jam up the clutch against the backplate by poking a screwdriver or something through, so it is not able to turn. Doing this could end up damaging the clutch though.

@@MarcelsWorkshop I figured out how to do it all I did was put a socket on it and kicked it and it loosened the bolt but thanks for the feedback

Sorry delayed, never got the notification for this. Yeah it's still around although probably only gets used a couple times a year these days. You can get complete engines for them here: hammerheadperformance.com/replacement-parts/engine/engines That's where I used to get all my upgrades I did to the engine. Haven't bought anything in a few years though.

Sorry delayed, never got the notification for this. The best upgrades were probably the ones I did before the first video. Those were the day any night difference, everything after that was mostly just marginal improvements. So just your basic stage 1 kit (high flow exhaust and air filter and carb re-jet) As well as changing the weights and springs in the clutch so it keeps the kart in "low gear" longer making better use of the power band. I also had a upgraded spark plug and coil for that video but I feel like that was probably just a minor improvement. Thanks! Glad you liked the video! 😁

It's out of commission at the moment. One of the stairs broke off at the end of summer. So I started going through them and ripping out the cracked and rotted ones and replacing with fresh boards, but never got around to finishing. Hopefully I'll get a chance when summer comes around again.

I just don't go up during storms. :P

Nah doesn't seem to have affected the tree any. The tree is still going strong 6 years later.

I probably only use them once or twice a year so the clone is still pretty much new haha.

There's a ton of comet clones you can find on amazon that should fit as long as u get the right shaft and chain size. If you want the legit version, just go to comets website and go through their list of distributors.

Maybe someone has already removed the governor in the engine? If so this wouldn't make any difference. Or it's not connected to the right piece? Or there is still slack in the wire at full throttle? Or maybe there is also a throttle stop screw preventing you from opening up the throttle all the way?

I got it to work! I just forgot to have the throttle wide open before attaching the wire through it. Thanks for the quick reply!!

Yeah it's still going strong, although in desperate need of a good cleaning because all the animals have been using it as their luxury winter home. :P

IDK I'm not a carpenter, I just winged everything. Probably best to talk to a pro at the hardware store and see what they recommend.

I used spiral nails for everything, I don't have a good battery powered drill.
